Lynn Pulliam, CHS Principal
Welcome to the Canadian High School website. I hope you find this site helpful and informative – we welcome input that will help us make it more user-friendly. The CHS staff will strive to keep it updated with information relevant to our students, parents, and community. Our high school serves almost 300 students from varied socioeconomic backgrounds. Traditionally, our students and programs are very successful – from Academics and Athletics to Fine Arts and Career & Technology, Canadian High School achieves at very high levels. Participation in rigorous academic coursework and worthwhile programs enriches our students’ lives and prepares them for life after high school, no matter their post-secondary paths.
The 2018-19 school year will be my third as the CHS principal and my sixth with CISD, having spent three years as the CES principal from 2002 to 2005. Overall, this will be my twenty-sixth year in public education, including six as a science teacher and athletics coach and nineteen as a school administrator. Prior to coming to CHS, I served as a principal in Amarillo ISD (South Lawn El 2005-06, Crockett MS 2006-08, Tascosa HS 2008-16). I have also worked in Lubbock ISD, Highland Park ISD, and Texline ISD.
My wife of 19 years, Lawana, is also an educator and is currently serving CISD as the Director of Instructional Technology. She is a former elementary school teacher, curriculum specialist, and principal, making her a great sounding board when we talk shop at home. We have two kids, Clara (13), who is a 8th grader at CMS, and Stephen (16), who is a CHS junior. I enjoy living in this fun and friendly town and I especially love working with the CHS staff serving our amazing students.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, riding bicycles (mountain and road), and spending time with family, including our two goofy dogs, Maple and Hobbes.
