Library Media Center Mission Statement
The mission of the library media program is to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information. This can be accomplished several ways: by providing access to materials in all formats; stimulating interest in reading, viewing and using information and ideas; and by working with educators and staff to meet the varied needs of individual students. The Canadian ISD library staff is committed to providing an environment conducive to learning, study and research for our students and a place where they can sit comfortably and read books, magazines and newspapers for the pure joy of reading.
You are encouraged to visit the campus libraries and see all that is available to your children. We look forward to working with the young people of Canadian to make this year successful. See you in the library.
